Sound Masking

Sound masking is widely used to address a number of challenges associated with: 

• Tinnitus management: by matching the frequency of the perceived sound experienced by the patient, it can help distract the brain and provide relief from tinnitus. This is particularly beneficial at night where falling asleep may be challenging. 
• Sleep Therapy: Using white noise, or one of the many other "colors of sound," patients can often find the level of relaxation and distraction needed to fall asleep and stay asleep. 
• PTSD: Patients suffering from PTSD often have overlapping challenges with sleep, tinnitus, stress/anxiety and more. By utilizing sound therapy in higher stress situations, patients are often experience a positive response in a shorter period of time. This can be particularly helpful pre-procedure for patients who struggle in a medical setting. 
• Sound Masking and Speech Privacy: In ALL settings where speech privacy is a concern, portable sound maskers are an easy and convenient way to accomplish a privacy zone. This includes HIPAA compliance requirements.
