ADCO Supports Deaf Planet Soul's Mission Trip to Lebanon

Deaf Planet Soul is an organization serving and empowering the Deaf and hard of hearing community through outreach programs, education and training. In 2016-17, they launched the world's first Deaf-led humanitarian aid mission serving the deaf refugee children of Syria and Palestine. During this trip, they screened 170 children, distributed 117 hearing aids, and counseled 255 parents. The impact of this mission trip was immeasurable, and this incredible organization is planning their second mission trip this summer to help children located in the isolated refugee camps in Lebanon to fit hearing aids and provide sign language resources to war-deafened children.

At ADCO we are proud and honored to play a small part in their efforts by providing supplies to be used during this trip. We will be sharing updates and photos as they become available!

Abby Armijo has led ADCO Medical Suppliers as President and CEO since 2014, building on more than 70 years of company history in the hearing healthcare industry. Based in Littleton, Colorado, ADCO supplies audiologists, ENTs, hearing instrument specialists, and VA facilities nationwide with clinical audiology supplies, assistive listening devices, hearing aid accessories, and a growing range of medical products. Abby holds an MBA in strategic management and is a graduate of the Veteran Institute for Procurement (VIP). As an Army veteran and certified SDVOSB and WOSB owner, she has a personal connection to the VA relationships that have defined ADCO's federal business for decades. She oversees a small, specialized team known for deep product knowledge and responsive service in a niche market where those qualities are hard to find. Her writing reflects the practical, professional perspective of someone who has spent over a decade working directly with hearing healthcare providers and government clients.
